About BIFI Lens — data sources, terms and privacy

BIFI Lens takes company and LLP filings made with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and puts each entity on a single readable page. The information was always public. Getting it into a usable shape was the problem.

Where the data comes from

Everything on this site originates in filings made by companies and LLPs with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. We take the register as filed, parse the structured data where it exists, read the scanned documents where it does not, and match records across name changes using the CIN rather than the name.

We do not add estimates. If the register is silent on a figure, the record says so. Every record carries the date the register was read.

What we do not do

We do not score companies or issue ratings.
We do not publish anything that is not already on the public register.
We do not sell your search history, and we do not tell a company who looked it up.

Terms of use

Reports are licensed to the person or firm that buys them, for their own use, including in professional advice given to their clients. Redistribution, resale or bulk scraping of the site is not permitted. If you need data at volume, the API exists for that and is priced for it.

Reports are non-refundable once opened, because delivery is immediate. If a report is wrong — genuinely wrong against the register, not merely incomplete because the company has not filed — write to us and we will correct it and refund you.

Refunds

Because each report is delivered the moment payment clears, we cannot offer a refund for a change of mind. We will refund in full where the report is materially inaccurate against the register, or where a technical failure meant you were charged without receiving the report. Write to help@bifilens.com with your order number and we will respond within three working days.

Privacy

We store your name, email, billing details and the reports you have bought. Payments are handled by Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS compliant; card details never reach our servers and we never see them. We do not sell personal data. Director names and DINs shown on records are published by the MCA as part of the public register.
